Step outside of time, into a pre-industrial 'kairos', amidst lovingly cultivated organic fields and the surrounding woods. We await you, ready to offer a relaxing stay in harmony with nature.
A true escape from the everyday, on the edge of the forest, where from May to the end of June you can also savor the sweet fruits of the sloe and wild cherry trees.
A picnic basket for lunch or breakfast, or an aperitif on our 'relax in the foliage' suspended net, are available upon request.
Around the fields, you can embark on short or long walks along the paths, ascend Monte Rosso, traverse the 'Grotte', relax on the 'pulpit in the woods', or unwind even further by climbing to the viewpoint high above the fields. This true natural sanctuary, nestled in the 'macchia mediterranea', features limestone steps facing south over the slopes of the Pliocene promontory, precisely on the old Gothic Line of World War II – now an oasis of peace and serenity.

Although we are quite close to the city, the nature surrounding us is the biggest surprise and attraction. In the Pliocene Spur Nature Reserve, there's a vast diversity of fauna and flora to observe, in all seasons. The Contrafforte stretches east to west, with its southern side characterized by unexpected Mediterranean flora, while the northern side boasts an alpine character.
Around the farm, there are many short and long paths perfect for walking and enjoying the scenery. You can explore the forest path around the fields, visit the cave, discover the viewpoint on the steep slope, find the 'pulpit' in the forest, hike to the summit of Monte Rosso, visit the Sanctuary of Monte delle Formiche, and then explore the various well-marked trails of the 'Path of Friends'. Additionally, there are well-marked CAI hiking trails that will take several hours to complete. We offer the option to rent an e-bike to explore many of them.
For unique experiences, you can try ethical horse training at the Red Rose Ranch (10 minutes away), go caving in the Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi (25 minutes away), or spend a beautiful day at Lago di Bilancino or Rocchetta Mattei (both an hour away). You can also learn a lot about the starry sky at the Astronomical Station and Star Park in Loiano (20 minutes away).
To delve into history, visit the National Etruscan Museum and the archaeological excavations of Kainua in Marzabotto (40 minutes away) or the Monte Sole Historical Park (55 minutes away). If you have time, a day trip to Florence is highly recommended (an hour and a half away).
For lovers of gastronomic culture, Bologna (a 40-minute drive) has so much to offer: numerous food tours to join, markets to explore, and shops and restaurants where you can buy local products. Between meals, stroll through the old town's alleys, visit the Gothic Basilica of San Petronio, the Torre degli Asinelli, and the Archaeological Museum to get a sense of the city's rich history.

We had a wonderful stay at this agricamping! What made it truly special and unique was the incredible hospitality of the family. The campsite is beautifully cared for, with many cozy and inviting spots where you can relax and unwind.
We were able to spontaneously join a delicious dinner, complete with homemade bread and pasta – absolutely fantastic! The next morning, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and great coffee.
We will definitely be coming back and can only highly recommend a visit!

Very beautifully located place with very lovely hosts. The food was delicious, we felt very comfortable. The drive was a bit difficult as Google Maps suggested a closed road. Thanks, we would come again.

Il Granello is a wonderful place, perfectly located for a stopover on the way to Southern Italy. I can also highly recommend it for a longer stay. Romano is a great and very friendly host, and the view is magnificent. Unfortunately, we couldn't try the restaurant as it was still closed out of season.
